Jidion slams Hasan for \u201cpatronizing\u201d reaction to viral YouTube video: \u201cI know what racism is\u201d YouTube: Jidion, Anthony PadillaPopular YouTuber Jidion is hitting back at Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan after the broadcaster reacted to his video visiting \u201cthe most racist town in America.\u201d Jidion is a YouTuber with a combined 6.6 million subscribers across multiple channels. While he\u2019s been creating content for some time, he found himself making headlines earlier this year after feuding with Twitch streamer Pokimane. Although the two squashed their beef in an internet-breaking mukbang video, Jidion has since found himself in another squabble with a high-profile influencer: Hasan. The issue began when Hasan reacted to one of Jidion\u2019s videos, where he visited the \u201cmost racist town in America\u201d \u2014 Harrison, Arkansas. Jidion claimed that his experiences in the town were contrary to his initial expectations. The creator said in an interview with Harrison\u2019s mayor, Jerry Jackson, that he\u2019d received \u201ca lot of love\u201d from the townspeople, but admitted that he did \u201cget a few looks.\u201d His video has racked up over 6 million views since being published on May 6, 2022. Hasan reacted to Jidion\u2019s video a short while later. In his reaction, Hasan pointed out that \u201cjust because a town is racist doesn\u2019t mean that they\u2019re going to be literally running around and doing hate crimes,\u201d before claiming that Jidion \u201cdoesn\u2019t give a s**t\u201d and was primarily \u201cworried about making clickbait stuff and doing comedy.\u201d (Topic begins at 2:24) Jidion hits back at Hasan\u2019s \u201cpatronizing\u201d comments Jidion hit back at these statements in a stream the next day, where he took issue with Hasan \u201cpatronizing\u201d him regarding the topic of racism. \u201cI do give a s**t,\u201d Jidion argued. \u201cFirst, I\u2019m a Black man. It doesn\u2019t matter how many followers I have, or what influence I have. First things first, I\u2019m a Black man.\u2026 I do care.\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t have a skewed perception of what racism is,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019ve been Black 21 years of my life. I know what racism is. I know the different forms that it comes in.\u201d \u201cI could have died while I was out there. I risked my life because I wanted to actually see it for myself, instead of letting a video dictate my opinion. I\u2019m not going to let a two-minute video dictate my opinion of an entire town.\u201d Near the end of his stream, Jidion called Hasan \u201call talk,\u201d claiming he \u201cjust doesn\u2019t have the balls\u201d to \u201cget down in the trenches and do what I do\u201d in speaking to the town\u2019s locals about racism.
