Speaking to Trisha Paytas, the YouTube star said the situation wasn\u2019t \u201cbalanced\u201d and claimed that Ethan plays by \u201chis own rules.\u201d The episode repeatedly hit the headlines long before it became available to stream. The appearance of the former \u2018Frenemies\u2019 host on Keemstar\u2019s podcast made waves within the online community. Even Ethan\u2019s parents, Donna and Gary Klein, weighed in. While fans were accusing Trisha of being the \u201cworst friend\u201d to Ethan, the YouTuber stated they believed in \u201cdiscussion, debate and changing people\u2019s minds.\u201d On August 18, just before the episode aired, Keemstar explained in a Tweet that he had \u201cevil\u201d plans. Keemstar said he didn\u2019t \u201cstrike\u201d H3H3 During the podcast, Trisha asked Keemstar whether he \u201cfiled a strike against Ethan\u2019s channel.\u201d The host emphasized that he didn\u2019t, instead reporting the channel externally on two separate occasions. Keemstar explained that \u201csix months ago\u201d Ethan posted a video with a \u201cKeemstar puppet doll.\u201d He complained that if Ethan did the same to a \u201cGabbie Hanna puppet\u2026 your channel would go down!\u201d After reporting it to his \u201cYouTube rep,\u201d the video became age-restricted. Though the YouTube star insisted \u201cthat should\u2019ve been a flag.\u201d He then went on to describe how Ethan \u201chad someone calling in, pretending to be my girlfriend.\u201d During this H3 episode, the \u201cgirlfriend\u201d allegedly said \u201cKeemstar\u2019s got a little d**k\u2026 it doesn\u2019t work.\u201d While the YouTuber admitted he \u201cwasn\u2019t mad,\u201d he still reported it to \u201cSusan (Wojcicki), the CEO of YouTube.\u201d The video was removed shortly afterward. View this post on Instagram Fans defended Ethan in the comments Several Instagram users expressed their disappointment in Trisha for entertaining the story, and rushed to Ethan\u2019s defense. \u201cThe Keem\u2019s girlfriend bit was obviously a joke,\u201d one user commented. \u201cKeem is a garbage liar,\u201d said another. Trisha was also implicated in the comments, with one listener branding her a \u201cserial traitor and a clout chaser.\u201d Other users simply spammed the comments with snake emojis.
