KEEMSTAR calls out YouTube for terminating channel of player who killed feminist character in Red Dead Redemption 2 Drama Alert host Daniel \u2018KEEMSTAR\u2019 Keem has challenged YouTube for its actions against a creator who uploaded controversial gameplay footage from Rockstar\u2019s latest title, Red Dead Redemption 2. The player in question, going by the handle \u2018Shirrako,\u2019 uploaded a series of videos where they murdered a suffragette in a variety of ways, from dropping her down a mineshaft to feeding her to an alligator. YouTube has allegedly terminated Shirrako\u2019s channel due to mass outrage over the videos \u2013 which KEEMSTAR is taking issue with. \u201cYouTube, we cannot take this stance,\u201d KEEMSTAR implored. \u201cWe can\u2019t say that what someone does in a video game is reflective of real life, somehow.\u201d Dear @YouTubeGaming @TeamYouTube @Fwiz @SusanWojcicki pic.twitter.com\/SaWDBnEfOP \u2014 KEEM :popcorn: (@KEEMSTAR) November 7, 2018 He then went on to say that, using this logic, any uploaded footage of the game could be problematic, and claimed that any other games with killing could likewise fall under that net. \u201cWe need\u2026 YouTube to stick up and stand up for gamers as a whole, and gaming,\u201d he continued. \u201cVideo games are not real life, and we need to send that message out there.\u201d This isn\u2019t the first controversy that RockStar has faced for its games, either: their famous Grand Theft Auto series has undergone massive speculation for allowing players to to murder prostitutes and steal cars, among other such in-game engagements.
