KEEMSTAR responds after being sued for $3.5m by Romeo Lacoste YouTube: DramaAlertPopular YouTuber and Drama Alert host Daniel \u2018KEEMSTAR\u2019 Keem has revealed that he is being sued for $3.5 million by Romeo Lacoste, for claims he made about the tattoo artist in 2019. Back in March of 2019, Romeo Lacoste was accused of sending inappropriate messages to underage fans included in which, he detailed explicit sexual acts and alcohol consumption to fans aged 14 & 15. The claims against the then 30-year-old quickly made waves on social media, with Keemstar picking up the story and covering it on his Drama Alert show. Now, Lacoste has sued the YouTuber in federal court due to the claims made against him on the news show. After the filing came to light, Keemstar hinted at a response on his Twitter account, even canceling his initial Drama Alert covering the topic on March 13. The YouTube star finally gave part of his response during the March 14 episode of Drama Alert, after a number of further social media teases. Keem claimed that if he loses the case, it would \u201caffect all of YouTube and all YouTubers.\u201d However, the Drama Alert host noted that he couldn\u2019t respond fully without talking to his attorneys and would have to postpone a response until the Monday, March 16 episode of his news show. Timestamp for mobile viewers of 8:54 In the legal complaint made from the tattoo artist\u2019s side of the case, it alleges that Keem accused Lacoste of pedophilia in several videos on social media \u2013 including two videos in the days after the accusations came to light, as well as one as recent as February 2020. The more recent claim against a video follows up a Drama Alert that included a recording of Lacoste taking part in \u201cconversations of a sexual nature\u201d with a minor. The tattoo artist contends that he was \u201cfalsely told\u201d that she was actually \u201cage of majority\u201d and that she recorded the conversation without consent. In addition to that, Lacoste\u2019s complaint against Keemstar alleges that the Drama Alert host has subsequently caused him \u201cgreat economic harm\u201d with a loss of business, clients, and contract opportunities.
