The first read: \u201cWe have devastating news about Tay.\u201d Three hours later, another post was made on Tay\u2019s account: \u201cPlease pray for Tay. We will be updating you as more information becomes available.\u201d Netizens rushed to the comments section, worried about the star\u2019s status \u2014 but others claimed they won\u2019t fall for a \u2018hoax\u2019 a second time. \u201cWe not falling for this again, buddy,\u201d one user replied. \u201cYou\u2019ve done this before, how am I supposed to believe anything from ya now,\u201d another said. Lil Tay allegedly diagnosed with \u201clife threatening\u201d heart tumor Later that day on September 12, Tay\u2019s Instagram account posted a video showing an ultrasound, supposedly of the star\u2019s heart. In the video, viewers can make out what the narrator called a \u201cbubble\u201d inside her heart as it beat. \u201cTay has been diagnosed with a life threatening heart tumor,\u201d the post\u2019s caption said. \u201cWe ask kindly for everyone\u2019s love and prayers.\u201d Thus far, Tay herself has not commented on these developments, leaving viewers skeptical until further proof is provided. As previously mentioned, a similar incident occurred in summer 2023 after Tay\u2019s Instagram account was reportedly hacked. The hackers posted a message to Tay\u2019s profile claiming that both she and her brother had died. \u201cIt is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire\u2019s sudden and tragic passing,\u201d the post read. \u201cWe have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain.\u201d However, it was later revealed that the entire ordeal was merely a \u2018hoax,\u2019 and that both Tay and her brother were alive and well.
