Manny MUA responds to rumors of hooking up with James Charles Makeup mogul Manny \u201cManny MUA\u201d Gutierrez has responded to rumors of getting physical with fellow beauty guru James Charles after fan speculation spiraled out of control in late December. Manny cleared the air regarding his relationship with Charles in a video on December 30, titled, \u201cFinally Addressing the Rumors About Me.\u201d Among the many fan queries regarding his sexuality and career, one of the first rumors Manny addressed was his alleged hookup with Charles \u2014 a theory that has apparently grown quite popular amongst his fanbase. According to Manny, about \u201c20%\u201d of rumors he\u2019d received for the video were related to Charles, who he firmly denied having ever romanced in spite of widespread conjecture to the contrary. \u201cI\u2019m shocked,\u201d he said of the speculation. \u201cI don\u2019t know what prompted the idea that me and James were anything more than just friends. I can assure you guys that me and James are not f***ing. We are not dating. We are not together. We are not an item.\u201d Instead, Manny clarified that he and Charles are merely friends, despite their rocky beginnings before the two had actually met. \u201cWe\u2019ve had such a crazy relationship in our pasts,\u201d he continued. \u201cI can\u2019t remember exactly what it was, but he completely shaded me on Twitter before we really knew each other.
