With the exponential price increase in these formerly cheap restaurants, it\u2019s understandable that people would want to grab themselves a bargain. However, a McDonald\u2019s worker has slammed customers who try to get \u201cfresh fries,\u201d every time. This comes from a popular TikTok hack, which encouraged customers to order their fries without the salt, prompting workers to make a fresh, unsalted batch. In the video\u2019s, TikTok\u2019s Grace states, \u201cIf you go to McDonald\u2019s and ask for no salt on your fries just to get them fresh, and then ask for a handful of salt packets, you are the worst kind of customer. Just ask us to make them fresh.\u201d It seems as though many McDonald\u2019s advocates agree with Grace. In another TikTok video that gained 32,300 views on the very first day, Chef Mike, who regularly shares inside knowledge prompted: \u201cYes, this is a great strategy if you want fresh fries. However, the fries are usually regularly cooked, so they\u2019re supposed to not be too old, but\u2026 you can just ask, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m willing to wait; can I have some fresh fries?\u2019\u201d Commenters weighed in on the \u201cfresh fries\u201d debate The viral video has since gone on to collect over 81,000 views, and has sparked some debate on the platform. One contended that ordering them without salt was beneficial, stating \u201cMost places would just reheat them for a couple of seconds, if you ask without salt you make sure they really made them.\u201d Another concurred, \u201cYou get paid to do what we say, if you don\u2019t like it go work another job. Lazy.\u201d Grace responded, saying \u201cLmao not enough. If you just want them fresh, tell us.\u201d One commenter proclaimed, \u201cI\u2019m gonna start being the worst kind of customer now.\u201d However, many were offended by the video for totally different reasons. One McDonad\u2019s fan claimed, \u201cI always ask for no salt because I don\u2019t want the salt. Y\u2019all put way too much salt on them.\u201d Many were quick to agree, stating \u201cI ask for no salt cus\u2019 I don\u2019t like salt.\u201d Whether customers agree or not, the controversial video has clearly sparked a debate.
