Via Twitter, Nadeshot offered up his belief \u201cspiritually, Instagram is dead.\u201d How the move to focus on reels and videos has turned it into a less polished version of TikTok, something he calls a massive \u201cshame.\u201d He highlights TikTok\u2019s \u201csuperior algorithm\u201d as something that now \u201cbasically renders Instagram useless.\u201d That the emphasis on reels for the platform now makes him feel as though he has \u201ctwo TikToks\u201d on his phone. This feeling is something that has become a popular consensus amongst long-time Instagram users. However, he doesn\u2019t completely discredit Instagram reels. Instead, Nadeshot says that the platform should have had a separate, broken-off app for the specific content. \u201cInstagram should\u2019ve broken out Reels as a separate product and app. I\u2019m sure conversion to downloads would\u2019ve been a challenge at first, but I think it could\u2019ve worked with some patience and persistence.\u201d These comments from Nadeshot are in light of many celebrities, artists and casual users calling for Instagram to go back to its roots.
