On August 8, however, the streamer found himself in handcuffs after he was swatted. Footage of the swatting went viral with Speed pleading with officers that he \u201cdidn\u2019t do anything\u201d to deserve being placed in handcuffs. Speed was eventually released, with the YouTuber claiming Adin Ross paid his $20,000 bail. Now, Ohio police have released new footage of the incident including some of him being placed in the back of a vehicle. Police release iShowSpeed swatting bodycam footage Footage of the arrest was posted to the Law&Crime Network YouTube channel showing police approaching Speed and placing him in cuffs. Police were eventually informed that the situation was likely a swatting with Speed\u2019s friend explaining that the cops could just check out the livestream for some proof. After being told that police had received a call by someone using his name claiming that he wanted to hurt his family, Speed made it clear that it was \u201cobviously a lie.\u201d The cops went on to explain to Speed\u2019s family that if an incident like this were to happen again, they would already have his address on file so it seems like the same problem wouldn\u2019t occur. Nonetheless, given the severity of the call, the streamer was lucky to not get hurt, as swattings have proven to be lethal in the past and are highly illegal. In 2015, swatting was made a federal crime in the United States.
