However, his content is likewise notable for containing problematic language and offensive humor \u2013 even entertaining what is called the \u2018Jewish Question\u2019 and joking about the murder of Heather Heyer, who was killed after a Neo-Nazi drove his vehicle into a crowd of protesters in 2017. PewDiePie linked one of E;R\u2019s videos in the description of his \u2018Pew News\u2019 episode, which led to an essay over Netflix\u2019s live action adaptation of the popular \u2018Death Note\u2019 anime. The description of the essay contains racist language towards one of the actors in the film, who portrayed one of its characters, \u2018L,\u2019 as a person of color. According to Hasan Piker of The Young Turks, the first channel PewDiePie promoted rose from 14,000 subscribers to over 61,000 subs after his shoutout \u2013 leading to mass concern that the YouTube king is helping promote a noted Anti-Semitic Holocaust-denier, as well.
