PewDiePie calls out Pokimane for copy striking smaller YouTube channels PewDiePie, YouTube \/ Pokimane, TwitterYouTube\u2019s biggest creator, Felix \u2018PewDiePie\u2019 Kjellberg, is going after one of Twitch\u2019s most popular streamers \u2013 Imane \u2018Pokimane\u2019 Anys, who allegedly claimed the video of a smaller YouTuber on the grounds of copyright infringement. PewDiePie discussed the issue in a video on January 11, where he noted that Pokimane had seemingly claimed the video of a YouTuber by the name of \u2018Bowblax\u2019 for using clips from her Twitter spat with KEEMSTAR in November 2018. Pewds went on to note that YouTube\u2019s algorithm may have boosted the video\u2019s reach, ultimately escalating their Twitter beef \u2013 which PewDiePie speculated may have been the underlying reason for Pokimane\u2019s strike. \u201cI can understand why you want to take down this video, because this selected thing blows up and becomes even bigger\u2026 but the problem here\u2026 is that you\u2019re just drawing more attention to it,\u201d PewDiePie said of the debacle. \u201cThe more you try to hide something, the more people are going to find out about it.\u201d PewDiePie likewise called out other popular streamers for their use of his own content, pointing out that gaming streamer \u2018Shroud\u2019 watched one of his videos during a live stream without adding any commentary. \u201cHey, Shroud, hit subscribe, god dammit!\u201d Pewds joked of the situation, noting that Shroud hadn\u2019t subscribed to his channel after using his video in the broadcast.
