PewDiePie can\u2019t believe Alinity \u201cgot away with\u201d cat scandal YouTube: PewDiepie \/ Twitch: AlinityTwitch streamer Alinity Divine has had her fair share of run-ins with PewDiePie, following the pair\u2019s \u2018copy strike\u2019 drama, and the top YouTuber has finally discussed her biggest controversy yet \u2013 the infamous cat \u2018abuse\u2019 scandal. PewDiePie and Alinity\u2019s first \u2018encounter\u2019 came as a result of the YouTuber somewhat inadvertently criticizing her stream content. After seeing the video, Alinity pronounced on stream that she would \u2018copy strike him\u2019 \u2013 essentially file a copyright claim on the video because it contained footage of her. The Swedish YouTube star responded with a video, and their feud was sparked, albeit shortlived. However, while PewDiePie may have avoided discussing Alinity in his videos, he did address her cat throwing controversy on stream. Referring to when she had tossed her cat over her head, prompting widespread backlash online, and even calls to ban her from Twitch. During his DLive stream on October 9, as he played with his own pet, Edgar, a viewer suggested he \u201cthrow it like Alinity\u201d. Laughing, he responded, \u201cHow the f**k did she get away with that? How do you throw an animal?\u201d PewDiePie wasn\u2019t the only big-name to criticize Alinity over the incident, with fellow streamer Imane \u2018Pokimane\u2019 Anys labeling it \u201cmessed up\u201d. Despite the backlash, Twitch did not take any action, and an investigation by the SPCA ruled that \u201cthe actions depicted in each incident were not malicious in nature and the animals appeared healthy and well.\u201d PewDiePie has taken a more reserved attitude to broaching such controversial topics on his channel, ever since canceling his popular \u2018Pew News\u2019 show.
