On June 25, Marbles uploaded a tearful 11-minute video where she addressed controversy surrounding older content uploaded in 2011. She apologized for racist behavior she\u2019d exhibited in the past, and explained that it was \u201cinexcusable\u201d \u2013 despite it not being her intention at the time to offend anybody. The 33-year-old ended her apology by stating that she was \u201cgoing to move on from [the] channel for now.\u201d Fans of the comedian were stunned over her decision to leave, with many \u2013 including PewDiePie \u2013 taking the stance that she was seemingly pressured into leaving the platform over her past videos, and that her past behavior doesn\u2019t reflect who she is now. The Swedish personality shared his thoughts on his YouTube Community Page to air how \u201cdisappointed\u201d he was over the situation. Who cares?\u201d he wrote. \u201cThese actions reflect in no way who she is and the content she makes today, anyone who watches her can see that,\u201d he continued, before going on to state that \u201cwe all have problems in our past\u201d and \u201cno one in the world is perfect.\u201d \u201cThis site will be filled with nothing but douchetubers who don\u2019t care, while the people who do, gets pushed out. So disappointed with the internet and how far things have gotten,\u201d he finished. Earlier on the same day, the 30-year-old shared similar sentiments in his own YouTube video, and addressed online drama and his thoughts on the topic. \u201cIt\u2019s like someone new is getting cancelled every day today,\u201d he said. \u201c\u2026Small things seem to be so big online. And it makes me feel like people are just miserable. It makes me feel bad. I feel like if I could change one thing, it would be for people to just be happier. Because then people wouldn\u2019t get so worked up over these insignificant things all the time.\u201d He also talked about his own experience with having to use disclaimers for jokes in his content. \u201cI do.
