Rather than the horrific monstrosity that was his initial design, Sonic now boasts a look more faithful to his classic concept, with wide eyes and an overall more cartoony composition that was revealed on November 12. The net at large was generally satisfied with this transformation (although some \u2013 including creator Yuji Naka \u2013 hope that the movie\u2019s initial design will be available on a \u201cspecial DVD version\u201d of the film). Even YouTube star Felix \u201cPewDiePie\u201d Kjellberg has weighed in on the dramatic change, claiming that he\u2019s thrilled with the \u201cincredible\u201d results. \u201cLegit, I was actually impressed when I saw the trailer,\u201d the YouTuber admitted. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Woah, actually, Sonic looks really good now.\u2019 I mean, you look at it frame by frame\u2026 look what a difference! All the expressions and everything. I don\u2019t even care about this film, but I\u2019m just impressed.\u201d The Swede went on to clown the movie\u2019s original model, claiming that he \u201ccouldn\u2019t believe\u201d the team had originally decided on the design \u2013 although he made sure to congratulate the animators for \u201cfixing\u201d the iconic hedgehog after the backlash. \u201cI gotta give credit,\u201d he continued. \u201cThey really fixed it up, dude. \u2026I\u2019m very happy for the people that [wanted] redemption.
