Users of the PewDiePieSubmissions subreddit, which the YouTuber regularly checks-in on in his videos, had been aiming to raise $3,000 so that they could fly a plane around Manhattan, New York with a thank you PewDiePie banner attached. That initial goal was smashed, as fans raised over $4,000 and were able to organize the flying of a \u201cSubscribe to PewDiePie\u201d banner on April 29 \u2013 the ninth anniversary of his channel.
