PewDiePie, YouTubeWhile Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has been entangled in a brutal battle with Bollywood label T-Series for months now, it appears that the YouTuber has finally succumbed to defeat. T-Series surpassed PewDiePie on March 26, taking the lead by a whopping 3,600 subscribers – which quickly grew to 8,000, then 10,000 subs, causing panic among PewDiePie’s fanbase. After a quick back-and-forth between the opposing channels, T-Series took another massive lead on March 27, and now sits at over 28,000 subscribers above Kjellberg as of 12 PM PST. xQc’s hilarious hair appointment stream has spawned brand-new memesIn fact, PewDiePie admitted to “not understanding” his constant victory over the label in an episode of LWIAY on March 22, after T-Series beat the YouTuber by a startling 30,000 subscribers a few days prior. [Timestamp: 1:37 for mobile viewers] Despite this disparity, Kjellberg managed to gain the upper hand shortly thereafter, and even reached 91 million subs in the process. While the reason for T-Series’ most recent victory is currently unknown, their previous boost came after a trailer for movie ‘PM Narendra Mori’ went viral, garnering over five million views in under 16 hours. With India gaining Wi-Fi at breakneck speeds, thanks to low pricing by mobile network provider Jio, it seems like more and more channels are subscribing to T-Series (which may also be due in part by an automatic subscriber system for the label). While PewDiePie has yet to speak out on this latest development, he did feature special guest “Blue Shirt Kid” in an episode of Meme Review on March 27, who was also featured in an Asian Boss video regarding Indian Citizens’ thoughts on the T-Series subscriber war. Although he is slowly hacking away at the subscriber gap, it doesn’t look like the YouTuber will make another comeback – unless he pulls out the big guns with another celebrity guest, a la Elon Musk or Ben Shapiro. While T-Series was projected to beat out PewDiePie in early 2019, the YouTuber managed to hold out until now, thanks to the efforts of other top YouTubers, celebrities, hackers, and other members of his dedicated fanbase.

Has PewDiePie finally been beaten by T-Series?
