PewDiePie responds to more accusations linking him to a white supremacist channel Popular YouTuber Felix \u2018PewDiePie\u2019 Kjellberg has once again been forced to defend himself in the face of more backlash for being linked to controversial YouTube channels. PewDiePie first came under fire on December 11, when he promoted a YouTube channel called E;R that was found to have anti-Semitic content in one of their videos. After having already made a video responding to the incident, PewDiePie has once again posted a response video after another article was written about him. He starts out his latest video by saying that his goal of shouting out channels was to give back to smaller channels given his massive growth but also admitted to having made the mistake of shouting out too many. \u201cI shouted out 28 channels. This was clearly my mistake because I should not have picked that many god damn channels,\u201d said PewDiePie. \u201cBecause obviously, I\u2019m not going to go through every single video in their two-year history.\u201d While PewDiePie admits that it was irresponsible to shout out the video without knowing the full extent of the video\u2019s references and jokes, he nonetheless disagrees with the picture painted by a Vox article that he is radicalizing hateful content. In fact, he comes to the conclusion that Vox is actually doing the opposite of what they intend since E;R gained more subscribers after their series of articles than when he shouted them out. \u201cE;R should really thank the media more than me,\u201d concludes PewDiePie. \u201c[Vox] are aware of the damages that [they] say it\u2019s causing but [Vox is] causing more damage?\u201d PewDiePie then ends his video with a theory on why Vox has been \u201ctargeting him\u201d with their series of articles while admitting that it\u2019s only a hunch and not a theory with concrete evidence. \u201cI have more influence than a lot of media outlets, and they hate that,\u201d PewDiePie concludes before referencing an article that details Vox Media\u2019s decline in revenue in 2018.
