PewDiePie has had one hell of a year, reaching over 102 million subscribers on his channel in August, marrying his best friend Marzia ‘CutiePie’ Bisognin in the same month, and even buying a house in Japan. The undisputed king of YouTube was even featured in this year’s “Rewind” – an end of the year video that the video hosting platform puts out annually – after accumulating the most views in 2019. However, the Swede used his latest upload to hilariously roast the trends that content creators have adopted, and called out all the “annoyances” he has with the site. PewDiePie explains what he hates the most about YouTube The 30-year-old opened up his video by explaining that he was going to go off on a rant about people on the platform. “I just wanted to rant today about some stuff that I notice some YouTubers do that is weird.” He then began to list things off, starting with “YouTubers have no idea what they are doing, so they just copy everyone else!” before he gave an example of how many content creators have copied SSSniperWolf’s thumbnail style. The gamer originally used a strip of red in her backgrounds, and now many creators do the same thing. “For whatever reason, people think this is worth replicating. This tiny bit of red, that’s what’s gonna get you views!” he laughed. Pewds explained how annoying he finds “descriptions” on videos, and the unnatural way people talk to hit keyword searches. “I’ve been told by YouTube to write better descriptions. And I just could not care less. I don’t want to. It’s just so lame!” The Swede then went off on the trend of YouTubers making reaction faces in thumbnails. “After you’ve done a thousand of these stupid faces, it’s like no, I’m done. I’m officially done. I’ve done too many!” he exclaimed. Lastly, he called out YouTubers such as JonTron for their repetitive promotion of the mobile game Raid: Shadow Legends. “I’m not gonna hate on people for getting bread on YouTube. But for f**k’s sake, stop! It’s the same script for everyone!” (Timestamp 00:27 for mobile users.) The video was all in good fun though, as the YouTube king also turned the tables as he asked his fans on Twitter what they found annoying about YouTubers like himself. PewDiePie continues to be a pivotal voice on the video sharing platform, as he was ranked as the number one most viewed channel during this year’s Rewind, as well as having the second most liked video in 2019.

PewDiePie reveals what he hates the most about YouTube In his December 7 upload, Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg unloaded on all the things he hates about YouTube, as his lengthy list of criticisms roasted trends on the video-hosting platform.
