PewDiePie addressed RiceGum\u2019s controversial involvement with \u2018MysteryBrand.net\u2019 in a previous video on January 3, which RiceGum mentioned in his apology video explaining the debacle three days later. Pewds took issue with RiceGum\u2019s apology, calling it \u201cthe weakest response ever\u201d and stating that both RiceGum and Jake Paul are solely concerned with money \u2013 not the welfare of their younger fans. \u201cJake Paul and RiceGum don\u2019t give a shit,\u201d PewDiePie said of the issue. \u201cThey don\u2019t care. They just want to make money. That\u2019s all that matters to these people.\u201d PewDiePie went on to mock RiceGum\u2019s Amazon gift code giveaway, appearing to legitimately question if the YouTuber was trolling his fans with the offer. \u201c$10 gift cards \u2013 that fixes the whole thing!\u201d Pewds said sarcastically. \u201cImagine saying that you got over $100,000 and spending $500 being like, \u2018We\u2019re cool, right?\u2019\u201d PewDiePie likewise noted that both YouTubers have yet to delete their videos promoting the website, speculating that they are contractually obligated to leave them up on their channels in order to get paid from the deal. RiceGum has since found himself at the center of yet another scandal, after YouTuber \u2018Good Day Sir\u2019 found that four of the codes he\u2019d offered had already been claimed in May of 2018.
