The fracas between James Charles and his former friend Tati Westbrook started after Charles promoted a rival vitamin brand to Westbrook’s on his Instagram story. This prompted Westbrook to upload a video entitled ‘Bye Sister’, in which she effectively ended the twos’ long-term friendship. Since then, Charles has lost over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers and, on May 10, released a video named ‘tati’ to his YouTube channel, in which he apologises for the disagreement. Now though, the second most subscribed to YouTuber in the world has shared some of his thoughts. Kjellberg started off by joking that he had set his Twitter to only show him Arabic trends to avoid news, but he was still being shown news relating to the James Charles drama. He then went to reply to his own tweet, stating that he’s “got a lot of problems with this Tati video”. It’s not entirely clear whether he is referring to Westbrook’s original video or Charles’ response, which was simply titled ‘tati’. I got a lot of problems with this Tati video, am I the only one? :face_with_cowboy_hat: — ƿ૯ωძɿ૯ƿɿ૯ (@pewdiepie) May 11, 2019 This tweet caused a fan to respond, asking: “Who cares? Youtube is 99% degenerates. I’m ok watching them all eat each other”. Pewds didn’t seem offended by the generalisation, even responding to the tweet by saying that it “was probably the only fair point I’ve seen to it all play out lol”. Charles’ video on the other hand, at the time of writing, has hit 8.5 million views in just sixteen hours. However, that video stands at just under 1 million dislikes, as the YouTube community voices its disapproval with the make-up and beauty star. Despite Charles’ apology, it appears that there this saga is not close to its conclusion, given the size of the stars involved. Also, with the likes of PewDiePie getting involved, there appears to be more talking points to come.

PewDiePie has “a lot of problems” with James Charles and Tati YouTube drama YouTube: PewDiePie/Instagram: James CharlesYouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg has shared some of his thoughts on the YouTube drama between James Charles and Tati Westbrook, which caused the make-up artist to lose 1 million YouTube subscribers.
