PewDiePie is the most popular content creator on YouTube, having amassed over 102 million subscribers, and was the most watched channel on the platform in 2019. However, the Swede finally took a break from making content on January 15, after making daily uploads for 10 years. Despite this, his editor claims that the YouTuber won’t be quitting or slowing down once he’s back. PewDiePie’s editor says he won’t be slowing down The popular YouTuber first announced he was taking a break on December 14, stating that he was “tired,” and finally took his vacation on January 15. “This year, there’s just been so much piling up that I’m like ‘I should probably just cool down for a bit.’ And then, we’ll come back with 10,000 percent!” he said. Confirming the Swede’s reason for not making content in part of 2020, PewDiePie’s editor Sive Morten sat down with British news outlet Metro and explained, “‘Everyone needs a break but, with YouTube, having a break is sort of detrimental to your channel. I think it’s worth it for him…and I need a break too!’” He then went on to state that the YouTube star loves what he does. “He’s unironically addicted to making YouTube videos. The whole thing about “Hey, I enjoy making videos”, he really does enjoy it,” he said. Sive also commented on Pewds’ consistent work ethic, and was surprised when he didn’t take a break for his honeymoon, after getting married to Marzia in August 2019. “I was expecting him to say “Hey, I’m going to pre-record a hundred videos,’” he said. The editor then revealed that he doesn’t see his boss ever quitting the platform. “I don’t think he is ever gonna quit, I think he’s really addicted. He can’t get enough of YouTube”. He also pointed out that “Most YouTubers, once they get views, once they get relevance, they kind of go crazy. A lot of YouTubers kind of go mad” – which is a good argument for the popular entertainer to take a break. PewDiePie couldn’t have picked a better time to take his much-deserved vacation, given that in 2019 he reached 102 million subscribers, and launched his wildly successful Minecraft series. It’s still unknown how long the break will be for and when the Swedish star will be back to making content again, however given his professed love for the platform, it will probably be sooner rather than later.

PewDiePie’s editor explains why the YouTube king will never quit YouTube: PewDiePieIn the wake of PewDiePie taking his break from making content, the Swedish star’s editor has opened up about why the YouTuber won’t ever be quitting due to being “addicted” to the platform.
