In 2022, Veronica Shaw \u2014 better known as \u2018Chef Pii\u2019 on social media \u2014 went viral for creating a bright pink condiment called \u2018Pink Sauce.\u2019 After the sauce took TikTok by storm, Shaw started to sell it on her own\u2026 but consumers began to notice some flaws in the product, with several claiming their sauce had spoiled in the summer heat after it was shipped to them. Shaw managed to turn the bad press around after scoring a deal with Dave\u2019s Gourmet, which placed Pink Sauce on shelves at Walmart for $7.33 a bottle\u2026 but her success was short-lived. In 2023, Shaw claimed she had been \u201cfinancially sabotaged\u201d by Dave\u2019s Gourmet and even created a GoFundMe, saying she\u2019d gone completely broke as a result of her deal with the sauce company \u2014 something Dave\u2019s Gourmet denied in a public statement. Pink Sauce creator roasted over new spice mixes Despite her apparent financial hardships, it looks like Chef Pii is still cooking up new products, as netizens noticed something new on the official Pink Sauce website in late December 2023. At the top of the site is an image of several colorful packets labeled with various names like, \u201cNot Mustard,\u201d \u201cBlue Sauce,\u201d \u201cGreen Sauce,\u201d \u201cThe Pink Sauce,\u201d and \u201cRuanch.\u201d The banner says these \u201cplant-based fun eats\u201d are \u201ccoming soon.\u201d While they might look mysterious based on this image alone, Chef Pii has been talking about her latest products for a couple months now. In November 2023, Chef Pii said that she\u2019s making a new line of \u201cdry spices\u201d in a TikTok video, allowing consumers to \u201ccustomize your own color and flavor intensity.\u201d \u201cMy mission is to bring real quality to y\u2019all,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s my promise. To learn from my mistakes. And that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing.\u201d Despite her goodwill, it looks like commenters still aren\u2019t impressed with Chef Pii\u2019s newest idea. \u201cBaby, just stop, please,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cDave\u2019s receipts are pretty damning,\u201d another said. \u201cNo, it\u2019s okay\u2026 you can keep it,\u201d yet another remarked. For now, there\u2019s no telling where the Pink Sauce brand is headed after Chef Pii\u2019s falling out with Dave\u2019s Gourmet.
