Pokimane sparks backlash over child-stealing joke: \u201cThis is messed up\u201d PokimaneTwitch star Imane \u2018Pokimane\u2019 Anys made a joke on stream about \u2018how children are so cute, she could \u201csteal\u201d one\u2019 and it\u2019s caused a stir online. Pokimane was streaming on Twitch on December 10 when she talked at length about just how cute babies are. \u201cYou guys want to know how I know I\u2019m a woman in my 20s? Because, when I\u2019m walking out\u2026 and I see a little kid, and I look at them, and they look at me, and they look SO damn cute,\u201d she gushed. \u201cAnd their cheeks are nice and round and supple. And they\u2019re so little, and they\u2019re wearing little people clothes! Like, you know when the clothes are little and it\u2019s so f**king cute?!\u201d She then joked, \u201cAnd they\u2019re looking like the PeepoWow with the big eyes, and I\u2019m like, your little body and your little clothes but your big cheeks! And I look at the parents, and the parents aren\u2019t looking, and I\u2019m like \u2018It would be so easy to steal your child.’\u201d Although the comments about \u201cstealing a child\u201d were an obvious joke, it drew in some criticism from her chat who spammed tons of question marks throughout her baby-adoring rant.
