However, if you\u2019ve wondered why some videos seem to take off more than others, it appears that TikTok \u2013 well, ByteDance, the owners \u2013 have the ability to \u201cheat\u201d up videos and push them to more users. TikTok apparently has \u201cheating\u201d up button to make videos go viral That\u2019s according to a report from Forbes, which states that they\u2019ve spoken to six current and former employees of TikTok, and have also shown the outlet internal documents. As per Forbes\u2019 report, TikTok employees are able to \u201csecretly hand-pick specific videos\u201d in a process they call \u201cheating\u201d which pushes them more heavily to users than other posts. These videos can account for almost 2% of the platform\u2019s total viewing figures for the day, which they label as a \u201csignificant impact.\u201d This has apparently been used to entice influencers and brands into using the platform, inflating their view counts to bring about partnerships between themselves and TikTok. TikTok told Forbes that heating is used to \u201cdiversify the content experience\u201d and that only a \u201cfew\u201d US-based employees are able to approve the use of it.
