Your new partner sends you countless compliments, expensive gifts, and messages filled with promises, but how do you know if it\u2019s love or love-bombing? Luckily, one TikToker has come to the rescue in hopes of teaching others how to recognize the manipulative dating tactic. Relationship expert Natalie Louise, who goes by \u2018wanderlusqt\u2019 on TikTok, posted a video on how exactly love-bombing works and how to recognize when it\u2019s being used on you. \u201cThis is how you manipulate someone by love-bombing them. Do not use this strategy on anyone,\u201d Natalie began. \u201cI\u2019m only telling you this so that you can become aware.\u201d Using her own personal experience of being love-bombed, Natalie listed the various stages of the manipulation tactic\u2026 starting with \u201cthe date.\u201d This stage is when the person \u201cwines and dines\u201d you in order to figure out what you are looking for so that they can \u201cshapeshift into that partner.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s twisted,\u201d Natalie said, explaining that the next stage of love-bombing involves luxurious gifts. \u201cThese gifts are all things that you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh my gosh, how did they know that I would want this\u2019.\u201d This helps to establish trust and make you comfortable, which is when the person love-bombing begins to act \u201chot and cold.\u201d Natalie said, \u201cNow that they know, \u2018Well, I have you wrapped around my finger.\u2019 That\u2019s when they\u2019re like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna use you now and see if this works.\u2019\u201d Viewers shared their own experiences with love-bombing in the comments of Natalie\u2019s video, expressing gratitude for her efforts to help others avoid the same. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize it when it happened. If they\u2019re overly complimentary, just run,\u201d one person wrote. Another said, \u201cMy ex did exactly this to me. Came [back] recently, then out of nowhere cut me off.
