Rebekah Gregg shared some Facebook direct messages that her former high school janitor sent her, asking for her age, and to be her friend. In a viral clip, which has over 214,000 views, Rebekah starts off by opening her laptop, as text overlay on the video reads: \u201c*Sees a Facebook message come in from my high school janitor*\u201d The video then transitions to the TikToker looking at the messages from her janitor. She covers the man\u2019s name in an attempt to help him maintain his anonymity. The janitor starts the conversation by \u201cwaving\u201d at Rebekah. He then writes, \u201cHi,\u201d followed by \u201cMay I ask you something,\u201d to which Rebekah replies, \u201cyes, what\u2019s up?\u201d He proceeds to ask, \u201cHow old are you now.\u201d She doesn\u2019t respond, and he sends a few more messages: \u201cCan I be your friend now,\u201d \u201cGood morning,\u201d and \u201cHi.\u201d The video then ends with Rebekah looking away from her laptop screen as she closes it shut. She captioned the video: \u201cLogging off.\u201d TikTok divided over high school janitor\u2019s \u201ccreepy\u201d messages Many TikTok users blasted the high school janitor for his \u201ccreepy\u201d and \u201cinappropriate\u201d messages. \u201cUhhhh I hope he still don\u2019t work at schools\u201d one user wrote. \u201cThis literally put a pit in my stomach\u201d another one commented. \u201cYou don\u2019t need to explain yourself. His behavior was inappropriate. Period. Women will always be blamed\u201d, someone added. Some users shared their own similar experiences. \u201cGirl, my highschool janitor got fired bc he stalked me over the summer and asked my friend on a date,\u201d one user shared. \u201cDude. This happened to my husband, but it was his fourth grade teacher. He would message him late at night on fb telling him to go to bed. He got arrested for being too kid friendly,\u201d another user revealed. Others shamed Rebekah for responding to the janitor\u2019s messages. \u201cHow wonderful it is when a problem is so trivial that it can be completely silenced by \u2026 pressing the \u2018off button,&#8217;\u201d one user commented. \u201cIf he was a hot janitor you\u2019d be into it,\u201d another one wrote.
