The series has cemented itself as a classic in kid\u2019s media\u2026 but a group of TikTokers are coming under fire for how they decided to celebrate the show. Indonesian TikTok user \u2018vinaputrip\u2019 decided to get together with their buddies to throw a Shaun the Sheep-themed party in December 2023. TikToker sparks backlash over viral Shaun the Sheep-themed party Looking at Shaun\u2019s design, he\u2019s covered in fluffy white wool with dark skin on his face and extremities \u2014 but viewers are noticing that a few partygoers decided to cover their lips in red face paint, sparking some accusations that attendees were wearing \u201cblackface.\u201d A video of the celebration has gone viral on TikTok in January 2024 as viewers pour in with criticisms of the influencer and their friends, racking up over 24 million views over the past month. \u201cI like Shaun the sheep, but I could NEVER do this,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cLast time I checked, Shaun DOES NOT have red lips,\u201d another pointed out. \u201cNot one of them was like, \u2018Let\u2019s not do this,\u2019 lol?\u201d yet another said. However, other commenters aren\u2019t so sure the group intended to be offensive with their costumes, with one viewer writing: \u201cY\u2019all, as a Black person, blackface is only blackface when you are interpreting a Black person.
