Country artist Walker Hayes made his \u201cFancy Like\u201d song, with a hook revolving around Applebee\u2019s menu items, and it was an instant hit. With over 32 million views on TikTok, the song (and its dance) went viral almost immediately. Now, following the song\u2019s usage on official Applebee\u2019s commercials and its spread throughout Oreo shake lovers everywhere, things have\u2026 escalated. \u201cFancy Like\u201d is officially nominated for a 2022 Grammy. \u201cFancy Like\u201d Applebee\u2019s song goes from viral TikTok to Grammy Awards A short snippet of the song, accompanied by a dance with his daughter, started it all. Hayes originally posted the video in June 2021 and, less than a year later, we have the first TikTok song and dance to earn Grammy recognition. Originally speaking about the viral success, Hayes said that he didn\u2019t expect it to \u201cpop off like it did.\u201d And he credited his daughter with the idea of adding a TikTok dance to the equation. After about 17-18 years of trying to crack into mainstream success as a country artist, Hayes expressed surprise that TikTok took him over the edge. One can only imagine his surprise now, as \u201cFancy Like\u201d is one of just six nominees for Country Song of the Year. The Grammy Awards Show will air on January 31st, 2022.
