TimTheTatman warns more Twitch DMCA bans could hurt small streamers Twitch\/TimTheTatmanPopular streamer TimTheTatman is warning that Twitch\u2019s new TV show meta and subsequent DMCA bans could end up having severe consequences similar to YouTube\u2019s \u201cadpocalypse.\u201d Many popular Twitch streamers such as Imane \u2018Pokimane\u2019 Anys and Jeremy \u2018Disguised Toast\u2019 Wang have been banned for watching shows on stream with the latter being hit with a month-long suspension. Not everyone is on board for the controversial new meta. Notably, Kaitlyn \u2018Amouranth\u2019 Siragusa said she won\u2019t be partaking in it fearing repercussions from the Amazon-owned platform. However, Twitch\u2019s stance on the meta seems to be unclear with the site even reversing a DMCA strike against Hasan. Now, TimTheTatman has stepped in to warn Twitch that this won\u2019t end well for streamers. They can\u2019t just be, \u2018okay, you\u2019re banned. Okay, two days. Okay, you\u2019re back.\u2019 What\u2019s probably going to happen is Twitch is going to make something and it might honestly come down hard on smaller creators,\u201d he said. As Tim went on to explain, this issue happened on YouTube and the result was not pretty to say the least. \u201cThey had this whole thing happen, YouTubers were doing it. They cracked down on it and it hurt a lot of YouTubers that were just smaller channels,\u201d the Complexity streamer added.
