Alinity received an accusatory comment in her chat during an Apex Legends stream from a user named \u2018Steflan,\u2019 which read, \u201cIsn\u2019t this the chick who earns money on other people\u2019s content by demonetizing\/claiming their videos?\u201d \u201cNo, Steflan, that would be Pokimane,\u201d Alinity replied \u2013 although she appeared to immediately regret her words. \u201cI probably shouldn\u2019t have said that,\u201d she continued. \u201cOh, damn.\u201d copy striking smaller YouTube channels for using her content in a \u201cnon-transformative manner.\u201d \u201cI will take down videos \u2013 when it\u2019s a straight reupload of my stream, and when it\u2019s like a gross and misleading title,\u201d Pokimane said of the issue. However, Alinity herself was also part of a similar debacle, after copy striking YouTube king PewDiePie\u2019s eye-tracking video in May 2018 for using the phrase \u201cTwitch thot\u201d in reference to her stream.
