They slammed the bill as \u201cunconstitutional\u201d in the filing that was revealed through a TikTok blog post. \u201cCongress has taken the unprecedented step of expressly singling out and banning TikTok: a vibrant online forum for protected speech and expression used by 170 million Americans to create, share, and view videos over the Internet,\u201d they said. \u201cThat law \u2014 the Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (the \u201cAct\u201d) \u2014 is unconstitutional.\u201d Although the lawsuit was filed in May, TikTok didn\u2019t enter the court until September 16, 2024, when they began to share their arguments against the bill.
