She\u2019s one of the most positive and upbeat streamers around with a successful career as an online entertainer\u2026 but prior to her internet fame, she says she was a \u201cmega stoner.\u201d Valkyrae opened up about her past during a recent live stream, after a viewer asked if she had \u201cever smoked weed.\u201d Valk was honest and admitted that she had smoked quite a bit when she lived in Washington, explaining that she\u2019d had a medical card due to nerve pain from scoliosis. \u201cBack in my day, we used to grow a couple plants,\u201d she laughed. \u201cI was a mega stoner, man. That was a very long time ago. A couple, yeah, just a couple plants.\u201d \u201cMarijuana was legal in Washington state way before everywhere else, and I had my medication card, because I had a pinched nerve for my scoliosis,\u201d she added. \u201cBut I quit a long, long, long time ago. I was never high at work or school. Ever. I had too much anxiety to do that. I don\u2019t know how people did that. It\u2019s ridiculous.\u201d She went on to state that she\u2019d quit smoking because she \u201cdidn\u2019t like how lazy it made me,\u201d alongside \u201cgetting the munchies like crazy\u201d and the overall expense. She also claimed that she had a \u201c50\/50 chance\u201d of having a negative, anxiety-fueled reaction to weed or experiencing a nice high \u2014 something she got tired of trying to chance. \u201cIt clashed with what I was trying to do with my life,\u201d she continued. \u201cI wanted to be more driven and focus on work.\u201d While this isn\u2019t the first time Rae has opened up about her experiences with weed, she isn\u2019t the only influencer to speak about having a negative experience with marijuana; YouTube star Logan Paul also claimed he experienced \u201caggressive\u201d withdrawals from smoking back in January 2022 after making the decision to quit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
