Internet celebrities turning their online fame into a bid at musical stardom has become a major trend in recent years, and Valkyrae is jumping on the bandwagon. The 100 Thieves owner had two major music roles last year, first appearing in MGK and Corpse Husband\u2019s \u201cDaywalker\u201d video \u2014 playing streaming friend Corpse \u2014 and then starring alongside TikToker-turned-songstress Bella Poarch in the fiery \u201cBuild a Bitch\u201d music video soon after. The experiences inspired Valkyrae to make her own music. \u201cThis year, I\u2019m going to release my own single,\u201d the YouTuber promised in her first 2022 stream. \u201cThat\u2019s pretty much the first thing I\u2019ve started for the year.\u201d YouTube\u2019s stream-queen revealed her music plans early on in her January 2 return, explaining the song-writing ball was already rolling behind the scenes. \u201cYeah things have got started there,\u201d Valkyrae said. \u201cI\u2019ve been talking to Brodin [Plett, OfflineTV\u2019s in-house producer] and Wendy [streamer Natsumiii] about making a song, and so we\u2019re in the process of doing that now.\u201d Natsumiii originally tried to get Valkyrae into a recording booth last year, and after months of pestering the 29-year-old streamer appears to have folded. According to the YouTuber, the track details have yet to be settled on, but it\u2019s likely going to be \u201csomething original\u201d rather than a cover song. \u201cThey were both super down,\u201d she added. \u201cSo we\u2019re starting to work on that.
