Valkyrae reveals why she\u2019s been having a \u201crough\u201d time after YouTube move Instagram: ValkyraeRachell \u2018Valkyrae\u2019 Hofstetter has revealed to her fans she\u2019s been having a \u201crough\u201d time streaming recently, both because of her move to YouTube, and the decision for her and her partner Michael to end their four-year relationship. The 100 Thieves creator made a major move in her career in January, binning Twitch and her time there for \u201cfinancial security\u201d and \u201ccreative freedom.\u201d Soon after, the 28-year-old also left the 100T house, but stayed with the org. It hasn\u2019t all been smooth sailing for the streaming star, however, as she revealed to her fans in an emotional livestream on March 2. In the broadcast, Valkyrae revealed her and long-term boyfriend Michael \u2018sonii\u2019 Sherman had split. As well as the separation \u2014 the couple\u2019s second high-profile split in nine months \u2014 Valkyrae also revealed she has been struggling with the \u201crough\u201d swap to YouTube, and admitted she has been battling with actually getting on-stream. \u201cI\u2019m not playing games right now, I just really wanted to stream and open up a bit on all of this with you,\u201d she said on March 2. \u201cI\u2019ve already cried gallons and gallons of tears. I\u2019ve lost so much weight, I\u2019m just skinny. I\u2019ve just been so low.\u201d According to the streamer, the past month of moving away from Twitch has been \u201cdifficult,\u201d not least of all because her platform jump came at the same time as her move to a new house alongside Michael. There, the couple soon discovered they had \u201cnoisy neighbors\u201d who were keeping them up at night. Adding to that, Valkyrae revealed she had planned on being at the 100 Thieves content house more, but those plans soon flew out the window. \u201cIt\u2019s been hard on me\u2026 I really thought I was ready for this. I got really stressed and scared because I did plan on living in the 100 Thieves house, I didn\u2019t plan on living here, so obviously this was supposed to be my office,\u201d she said. On top of that, Valkyrae and Sonii found themselves talking about their relationship again, and this time they made a more final call: Michael would move out of the house, and they would stop talking to each other completely. \u201cMichael, my boyfriend of four years, we\u2019ve been having a lot of issues with the neighbors\u2026 anyway, he\u2019s moving away. In the past weeks, we\u2019ve been trying to decide whether we should still be together. It\u2019s just not working,\u201d she said. All of this happening over the past few weeks has basically put a halt to Valkyrae\u2019s YouTube streaming train. The 28-year-old even took a three-day hiatus from all social media, before admitting she felt \u201cweird\u201d to stop completely. \u201cAll this is why I haven\u2019t really been streaming, and I haven\u2019t been focusing. I hope that makes sense. I\u2019m sorry for neglecting you guys, I\u2019ve been a bad streamer and content creator. I feel really guilty about that too,\u201d she said. \u201cI know I\u2019ve been absent, and I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m going to work on being better\u2026 the switch from YouTube has made me feel like I\u2019m on an island, but I want to fix that now.
