Woman gets death threats over viral breakfast video Unsplash.com: Manny NB, TikTok: pmdpodA woman has received death threats after posting about her lazy Saturday Shakshuka breakfast, sparking a major debate on social media. For single folks without children, the weekends can be a blissful reprieve from the daily grind of the workweek… while parents still have to tend to their kids on their days off. 29-year-old TikToker Julia Mazur’s Saturday morning looks starkly different from that of parents her age. She detailed her AM routine being a single, child-free woman on TikTok after going to a Beyoncé concert the night before and not getting home until 1 AM. “Every time I thought, ‘I should get up and do something,’ I thought, ‘Why? Nobody’s making me, and I’m not missing out on anything,’” she explained in her video. After scrolling through her phone, Mazur came across a picture of Shakshuka, a North African and Middle Eastern breakfast consisting of poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce. The meal looked so good that she decided to take the day to learn how to make it for herself, seeing as she didn’t have anything else to do that day. “I have no plans, and I don’t have kids, and I don’t have a husband and I don’t have errands to run,” she continued. “I can go to the grocery store and learn how to make Shakshuka.” Woman harassed after detailing her lazy Saturday morning on TikTok However, it seems that Mazur’s lazy Saturday endeavors weren’t endearing to everyone. Her video quickly went viral online as conservative commentators criticized her for not having children or tending to a household. In fact, Mazur says that she received near-constant harassment and even death threats as a result of the video going viral. “I chose not to read a majority of them, so I only know the first hour of the comments,” Mazur told Rolling Stone. “I had friends telling me not to go on Twitter. I was receiving messages on my personal Instagram calling me a whore. There were questions about my gender. They were threatening in nature and tone. I’ve slept with my alarm on every night since.” She also spoke out about the situation in a follow-up video where she detailed some of the grisly messages she received online, saying she was told that “I should actually die and never leave my house, I should be sexually assaulted, I’m pathetic, I’m a whore…” you get the gist. The conversation sparking around Mazur’s simple TikTok video has brought up issues of women’s rights and the cost of being a parent in today’s world, resulting in Mazur getting bestowed with the nickname ‘Shakshuka Girl.’ Even the likes of billionaire and TV producer Mark Cuban got in on the conversation on X, clapping back at Mazur’s critics in a post that went viral. This isn’t the first time a TikToker has sparked a battle of the sexes online. Recently, a woman claimed she was hit in the face with a brick after refusing to give a guy her number — but instead of sympathy, she got hit with a slew of harassing comments on her social media accounts.

Who is Shakshuka girl?
