In a viral 14-second clip, Celle (celle_tattoo) showed a tattoo behind her ear that she said was supposed to fade but had left clear markings. \u201cIt\u2019s been 14 months,\u201d she wrote in text over the video, which amassed 1.1 million views and over 57,000 likes. \u201cI hate this thing lmao.\u201d Many TikTok users in the comments shared their own similar experiences with getting temporary tattoos that won\u2019t come off. \u201cAre these permanent make up? Got one when I was 18 and it\u2019s still there clear as day,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cI still have a graphite dot on my hand from when I was 9. I don\u2019t get how a tattoo would be temporary,\u201d another shared. \u201cWorst part is that even if it does fade, it only looks fine for a month or two and then looks like you\u2019re going through laser removal for 1-2 years,\u201d a third said. Celle\u2019s viral clip is a stitch of a video from tattoo artist Bunny (bugpin.bunny.) In her video, she warned viewers against getting temporary tattoos \u201capplied by actual tattoo artists with machines that only last about a year, year and a half\u201d and deemed them a \u201ctattoo scam.\u201d \u201cPlease do not go there, and make an appointment, and get the [purported temporary] tattoo,\u201d Bunny said in her video. \u201cThe tattoos are not temporary. They\u2019re not fully fading.\u201d The TikToker also revealed that a temporary tattoo company is \u201cbeing sued currently,\u201d although she didn\u2019t mention the tattoo brand. However, some viewers assumed Bunny was talking about Ephemeral, a company that administers \u201creal tattoos, made to fade,\u201d as it\u2019s been dealing with several claims of customer dissatisfaction recently.
