The movie’s club shootout scene is one of the highlights of John Wick, where the title character attempts to track down and kill the son of a mobster who killed his dog and stole his car. Unlike the next two films in the franchise, the first John Wick flick has its major action scene during the middle of the movie. Notably, it features Reeves laying waste to several mobsters while the calming tune of ‘Think’ by Kaleida plays in the background – creating quite the contrast. As the former Overwatch League pro noted, however, the enemies that the assassin squares off against all seemed to have extremely bad aim. Ever the gamer, Felix compared the disposable bad guys in the film to non-playable characters in video games, who are regularly mowed down by action stars. “Chat, why do mobs aim so bad in movies?” he pondered. “The NPCs are botto, dude.” He furthered his video game comparison a few moments later. “They’re on like very easy [mode],” he laughed, and proceeded to do an impression of the generic mobster by waving his finger guns around. “It’s plot armor,” he chuckled. “You have to admit it makes no sense, though.” As the scene transitioned to the shootout portion on the dance floor, the French Canadian threw his headset off and proceeded to do his best John Wick impression. “This is John Wick!” he yelled as he ran across his room. Without warning, the streamer did a somersault on his bed, and started performing his own version of “gun fu” – a combination of martial arts and close-quarters gunplay made popular by action movies. xQc started “firing” between his legs, rolled around and waved his arms every which way before walking back to his desk with a smug look on his face. “Come on, man. How are you going to take this sh*t seriously? So dumb.” While xQc may think the films are silly, a lot of fans sure don’t, with the first film raking in 86 million dollars at the box office. The sequel pulled a whopping 171.5 million, and the third grosssed 326.7 million. A fourth film in the series is planned for release on May 21, 2021. Amusingly, that is the same day that Keanu Reeves is set to return as Neo when The Matrix 4 hits theaters. So far, neither film has flinched, and only time will tell if either fourth installment suffers from the dual-release date drama. Regardless, we can’t wait to see what xQc thinks of both of those films once they reach cinemas next year.

xQc hilariously reenacts shootout scene during scathing John Wick review Twitch/xQc/LionsgateLegendary Twitch streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was watching YouTube videos with his audience when he began to check out a major action sequence from the first John Wick film, starring Keanu Reeves.
