For context, he claims \u201ceveryone got mad\u201d when he won that award because he campaigned for people to vote. This left him feeling like all he got was a hollow piece of metal. Thus, he didn\u2019t want a repeat of that this time around. \u201cWhen we did [The Streamer Awards] voting for content, I clicked on my own square and immediately turned off the page. I acted like it didn\u2019t exist because I didn\u2019t want to skew the votes to make it a popular vote.\u201d He believes it influenced the outcome, but he wouldn\u2019t want it any other way. \u201cIt would have felt like I was using my platform to create a vote, and then I\u2019d win the award that I almost created. That\u2019s kind of lame.\u201d xQc denied claims it\u2019s an excuse for him losing, though. \u201cPeople can say it\u2019s an excuse or whatever, but it\u2019s not.
