Now he has responded, stating he is simply giving viewers what they want. With the popularity of reaction videos, it\u2019s no surprise that big streamers such as \u2018xQc\u2019 have taken to sharing their own. However, big names often end up getting more views than the original content, resulting in a new wave of backlash against the trend. Recently, xQc was accused of \u201cstealing\u201d other YouTuber\u2019s content for his own channel, taking away views from smaller creators. Now he has hit back at those attempting to \u201ccancel\u201d him, stating he is only providing his viewers with what they want. \u2018FilmsBub\u2019 on Twitter shared a screenshot of a recent reaction stream by xQc, accompanying it with a tweet that said, \u201cLemmino spends months researching, scripting, and editing a video just for react streamers to reupload the entire thing and provide zero input.\u201d However, after seeing the tweet and the support it received, xQc jumped in to defend himself and his content. \u201cI paused like crazy, I added a lot of commentary\u2026 the chat was getting mad at me,\u201d xQc said, claiming he even received a DM telling him to \u201cshut the f*** up.\u201d Calling a majority of streams \u201cs***\u201d content that viewers put on in the background while doing other things \u2014 such as playing games \u2014 xQc claimed that \u201cA lot of it is going to be second screen content.\u201d \u201cYes a lot of [reaction streams] is just watching it because that\u2019s what chat wants,\u201d xQc stated. \u201cIf I commentate too much, chat gets f***ing bored\u2026 chat gets mad.\u201d And it seemed fans of the Twitch streamer were in support of his stance, with comments agreeing with the sentiment. One said, \u201cHonestly [though] he\u2019s not wrong, I watch on my second monitor while playing whatever I am and like watching him on the side.\u201d \u201cThere are some topics I\u2019ll talk more about\u2026 but overall, I know what people want,\u201d xQc concluded, adding he would happily give back \u201cevery penny\u201d to the original creators of any \u201cfull react\u201d streams.
