Despite being released back in 2009, Minecraft has returned to popularity in recent weeks with popular YouTubers like Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and streamers like Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek trying their hand at it. The sandbox adventure title can lead to plenty of hijinks in single and multiplayer action – as it ultimately depends on where your imagination takes you. More often than not, however, players will get led to danger and it is there where they can lose everything in the blink of an eye – even the most precious of pets. 600During her August 8 video, YouTuber Freya Nightingale had been sprucing up her Minecraft realm when she opted to go mining. A few minutes in, though, she discovered that her cat ‘Bwahh’ had been following her instead of remaining at home. The YouTuber opted against making him sit and stay behind in the mine shaft, so the pet continued to follow on. She ultimately uncovered lava and quickly covered one block. Yet, as she carried on digging, the cat stumbled right into another uncovered block of lava – prompting its immediate death. “Oh my god! Oh my god!” she called out, distressed by how the cat had fallen directly into the lava. The YouTuber couldn’t offer up anything other than “Oh my god!” for a few moments as she tried to process what had just unfolded. When she finally found some words, Freya added: “Guys, I could not have prevented that – I couldn’t have prevented that. Oh my god, I’m so upset, I actually could cry. I actually feel like I could cry right now. Oh my god,” before putting her head in her hands. “I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it – I can’t. Oh my god, I’m so upset.” However, it wasn’t all bad news for the YouTuber as she was able to adopt a second cat later in the stream which she aptly named Bwahh V.2. She may want to be careful next time round and choose to sit the pet down instead of letting it try its hand at swimming in molten rock.

YouTuber almost cries after killing Minecraft cat in the worst way possible Instagram: FreyaNightingale/MinecraftA YouTuber was left on the verge of tears when she accidentally led her pet cat in Minecraft to an unfortunate end.
