Original story below: The BBC reports that a court heard that an assessment of the animal found he \u201cdidn\u2019t come across as a friendly and sociable dog.\u201d Candy D\u2019Sa, who assessed the dog (named Tank), said that while most dogs accept a muzzle, he \u201cwas very frightened with the attempts to muzzle him\u201d and she did not feel comfortable taking him off a leash. Not only was the dog ordered to be put down, but Olatunji was fined \u00a32,500 (about $3,280 USD) and his mother was forced to pay the victim \u00a38,000 (around $10,500 USD) after the two admitted to \u201cdangerous dog offenses.\u201d Judge David Farrell QC said that the dog bit Deji\u2019s elderly neighbor twice and caused \u201cvery nasty injuries.\u201d Additionally, Prosecutor Charles Falk stated that this happened after Deji\u2019s mother \u201ccaused the dog to be let out\u201d of their house.
