According to Star, a group of thieves had infiltrated one of his climate controlled warehouses the night of March 15, stealing an estimated $2.5 million in product \u2013 including an unreleased concealer line. Alongside a shipment of Star\u2019s new \u2018Platinum Ice\u2019 highlighter palette (5,000 units in total) and \u201cthousands\u201d of his \u2018Northern Lights\u2019 highlighters, the burglars also pilfered an entire shade of his upcoming \u2018Magic Star\u2019 concealers. Star\u2019s \u2018Magic Star\u2019 concealer has been over one year in the making, and contains a reported thirty plus shades, with the shade \u20185C\u2019 being completely depleted by the criminals in question. That\u2019s not all; pictures of Star\u2019s product soon began leaking online through \u2018social marketplace\u2019 sites like \u2018Poshmark\u2019 and the Facebook marketplace, as discovered by a team of investigators hired by Star, alongside law enforcement officials \u2013 and even the FBI. Star claimed that the thieves were likely \u201cblack-market makeup dealers,\u201d selling his products to counterfeit makeup outlets or \u201cunder the table\u201d markets, and claimed that the same thieves had stolen over $4.5 million in Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes in 2017.
