Knowing they\u2019d hit it off, their friends from work told them they\u2019d all be meeting at the theater to watch Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, Joseph told ABC10 that he had an inclination about the setup after his friend admitted nobody else would be showing up but him and Abigail. Now, the couple have been together for over six years \u2013 and even got engaged in November 2023. What\u2019s more, they plan to not only decorate their September 2024 wedding with makeshift golden arches but they will also be having McDonald\u2019s cheeseburgers and apple pies at their reception. Not only that, but their former colleagues will be in attendance at their wedding. \u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019d be here without McDonald\u2019s,\u201d Abigail said. Neither Abigail nor Joseph works at McDonald\u2019s anymore. However, she told the news outlet that the two of them wouldn\u2019t be where they are today without having worked there, as the chain helped pay for their college textbooks and provided them with scholarship opportunities. \u201cOur first job is kind of a memorable one, but also they made it super important because they helped us not only with figuring out next steps for education but also our careers,\u201d she said.
