West Virginia resident Zan White, a former WW2 vet has had a favorite breakfast spot for 36 years \u2013 McDonald\u2019s. Zan and his buddies have been loyally visiting the chain each day to catch up over breakfast, and have even given their friendship group a name, the ROMEO club (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Zan has spent his entire life in Elkins, where the local McDonald\u2019s chain resides, and loves nothing more than hanging out there. When staff at the McDonald\u2019s chain caught on that he was about to turn 100, they decided it was time for a celebration. They created a birthday bash for the vet, complete with decorations, and even a birthday message from the governor. The McDonald\u2019s supervisor commented on Zan\u2019s presence in the restaurant, stating: \u201cI\u2019ve seen Zan every morning pretty much for the 24 years I\u2019ve been working; it\u2019s a joy to see him every morning, it\u2019s one of the highlights of my day.\u201d When asked what the secret was to his longevity, Zen said playfully, \u201cIt\u2019s definitely coming to McDonald\u2019s every morning and having McDonald\u2019s coffee.\u201d He also vowed to continue visiting his local McDonald\u2019s, stating \u201cI\u2019ve been coming here for 36 years\u2026 I can\u2019t stop now.\u201d Another man went viral, after he showed footage of an abandoned McDonald\u2019s from the 90s, and the low prices really got people talking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
