The new Despicable Me movie marks the fourth installment in the franchise. The movie will debut in cinemas on July 12, and to build anticipation, McDonald\u2019s has teamed up with the beloved Minions to create two new limited-edition desserts, as well as a new drink. However, there\u2019s some bad news for customers residing in the US, as this promotion is only running in Australia. That\u2019s right, you might have to hop on a plane if you want to sample any of these Minion-themed goodies. The new items are back by popular demand, after McDonald\u2019s released a series of banana-flavored desserts to mark the celebration of the previous Despicable Me movie. The new menu items include: Banana Thickshake \u2013 A super thick and incredibly indulgent shake that is made with creamy, fresh milk and banana-flavored syrup. – Banana Caramel Pie \u2013 Features crisp, golden pastry filled with creamy banana custard and caramel sauce. – Banana Caramel McFlurry \u2013 Crisp pastry pieces filled with a creamy banana custard and caramel sauce on a bed of Vanilla or Chocolate Soft Serve, topped with an extra drizzle of caramel sauce. – As well as this, McDonald\u2019s is also dropping a Minion-themed Happy Meal box for a limited time. This will give customers the choice of either an activity book with sneak peeks into the new movie or a toy.
