It\u2019s a long standing joke that the ice cream machines at McDonald\u2019s seem to be perpetually broken, leaving many longing for their Oreo McFlurry. A McDonald\u2019s customer, Hannah, who shared their video on TikTok, went to great lengths to try and get her ice cream. Gaining over 563,000 views, her partner can be seen speaking to a McDonald\u2019s employee at the drive thru. \u201cYeah that guy was like\u2014I don\u2019t know what he\u2019s doing but we ordered a McFlurry,\u201d the driver sitting beside Hannah the woman at the drive-thru. The employee responds, \u201cUnfortunately we can\u2019t do McFlurries or any ice cream right now.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m actually a secret shopper,\u201d the passenger blags. \u201cI work for McDonald\u2019s corporate. I\u2019m a regional manager so I was just wondering why the machine\u2019s down. I had a couple calls that they\u2019re down in this area so\u2026\u201d \u201cThey put it\u2026the machine back together wrong or something every time we try to go to make it it doesn\u2019t\u2026\u201d they tell him. \u201cOK, I can mark that down. Who\u2019s the manager on duty right now?\u201d he asks. \u201cSamantha,\u201d the employee informs him. \u201cSamantha?\u201d he responds, before disbelievingly repeating the woman\u2019s claim that there\u2019s an \u201cactual problem with the machine.\u201d He then drives away, muttering a few expletives. People weigh in on McDonald\u2019s ice cream \u201csecret shopper\u201d After the video was posted on the platform, people were quick to comment on the \u201csecret shopper,\u201d hoax. Many sided with the video\u2019s poster, writing that: \u201cMy husband used to work at McDonald\u2019s. It\u2019s only \u2018down\u2019 because they don\u2019t want to clean it.\u201d I went one day and asked for a shake and the lady said \u2018we just don\u2019t like to clean it, so we\u2019re not doing it today,’\u201d another shared. Some however, thought that the McDoanld\u2019s worker was on to them, writing: \u201cMost workers know your lying because they would order first and after they would come inside and talk to the employees and ask them what\u2019s going on.\u201d \u201cSecret shoppers don\u2019t tell you anything until after they\u2019re done,\u201d another stated.
