TikToker CassDamm recently shared the story of when she placed an Uber Eats order for her teenage son. Though the Uber Eats app showed a picture of the driver as a blonde female, the son was shocked when a middle-aged man showed up with his food. Viewers of the now-viral TikTok have since reacted by sharing their own horror stories with Uber Eats drivers. Uber Eats customer felt defenseless against male driver CassDamm’s son was having girl problems at school, so she allowed him to stay home. She then ordered him sushi via Uber Eats to make him feel better. Being that Uber Eats shows you a photo of who will be delivering your order, CassDamm’s son was instantly freaked out when a beautiful woman didn’t show up with his order. Instead, a “strange” man in his thirties delivered his food. When the guy appeared on CassDamm’s porch, her son sent a photo of the driver to his mom with a text that read, “Hey, there’s some big dude in a hat on our porch.” While explaining the situation to her 419k TikTok following, CassDamm said that although somewhat comical, she didn’t appreciate her and her son being deceived, as she wouldn’t have been prepared to defend herself against the middle-aged man. She did, however, say that had an 80-year-old man on retirement used a fake Uber Eats profile photo, that she could understand. Viewers of CassDamm’s viral TikTok reacted by commenting on their own Uber Eats stories. One driver, who is pregnant, said she and her husband inform the customer that a male would be delivering their order since she’s too pregnant to get out of the car over and over again. Another viewer added, “I had an Uber that would send his 5yo daughter with the orders to put on the porch while he stayed in the car.” Though CassDamm may have been laughing in her video while explaining what happened, it’s clear that the Uber Eats driver made a lasting impression on both her and her son.

“Strange” Uber Eats driver shocks customer with fake identity on app TikTok: cassdammOne customer was shocked when the profile photo of the Uber Eats driver didn’t match who showed up with their food.
