Lennon, who is a server at Taco Bell, with a following of over 40,000 on TikTok took to the platform to discuss a situation where a customer tried to get petty. “This guy already had an attitude from the start, and then he was complaining about the prices,” Lennon explains. Lennon claimed that the customer saw his order was going to be 23 dollars, so he went to his car to get “some change.” This confused him, as he’d spotted that the man had a $20 bill in his wallet. “So I was thinking maybe he’ll get $3, $4 to pay the rest from his car, but he came in with a large bag completely filled up with nickels, pennies, quarters, dimes.” The man instructed Lennon to “just take out the $23 for the order.” “I told him I wasn’t gonna go through his bag and count it all out, but if he counted it out in front of me, I would accept it, but I was not gonna do it myself. And, of course, he took the bag back and just paid me with cash,” Lennon said. “If it’s not worth your time to do it, it’s not worth mine, either. So he learned a lesson that day, don’t be rude to others,” Lennon states after getting his revenge. People weigh in on Taco Bell’s ‘Mr. Karen’ After the video was posted on the platform, people couldn’t wait to give their opinion on the fiasco. Some reasoned that if all people have in their wallet is coins, then it’s okay for them to pay in this way, but, if they’re being purposefully difficult, they should take a hike: “If that’s all someone truly has I get it, but if they’re deliberately being a dbag then f**k them!” Many joked about the situation, calling the customer the male equivalent of a Karen: “Gotta love Mr. Karen.” Another speculated: “Omg he must have been embarrassed,” after Lennon refused to count his pennies. One user defended Taco Bell, saying that the man had no reason to be upset in the first place, and that the prices were reasonable: “Complaining about the price of TB is crazy because you get so much.” Another customer went viral in January, after they raged at staff who added an automatic tip to their bill.

Taco Bell customer dubbed “Mr. Karen” after he deliberately pays server in pennies Taco BellA customer at Taco Bell tried to spite workers by paying in pennies, but his plan backfired as the worker got his revenge.
