Gab posted the video back on July 10, where she showed herself carrying the shake. \u201cMaybe I\u2019m the only person that didn\u2019t know this,\u201d she said in the clip, \u201cbut Popeye\u2019s has $2 protein shakes on Tuesdays, so cheers.\u201d \u201cOk usually I am a protein shake hater BUT the caramel fudge slaps and for TWO DOLLARS in this economy??? Run,\u201d she wrote in the caption. It has since gone on to gain more than 492,000 views. The video caused a flurry of confusion, with one user writing: \u201cI\u2019m here now. The lady at the cash register is looking at me like I\u2019m crazy. She said \u2018We only sell chicken here sir\u2019, what do I do next?\u201d \u201cAs a Popeye\u2019s employee, I didn\u2019t even know we did this,\u201d another said. \u201cGirl you sent me to the wrong Popeyes!\u201d one exclaimed. It turned out that the Popeye\u2019s that sold the protein shake displayed in the video is a totally different business to the popular chicken chain founded in Louisiana. The one referred to in the video is actually Popeye\u2019s Supplements Canada, \u201cThe very first sports nutrition retail outlet in Canada. TODAY, it is Canada\u2019s largest sports nutrition retailer with Over 100 Locations coast to coast!\u201d the website writes. Though they don\u2019t explicitly mention that they have $2 shake Tuesdays, one commenter underneath the video did say \u201cIt\u2019s the Popeyes locations only in British Columbia and Quebec.\u201d Commenters speculated that as a result of the video, a lot of confusion was set to ensue: \u201cGirl you are about to get us cussed out by people going to Popeyes looking for a protein shake,\u201d To which Gab replied: \u201cI know, my local store already told me they\u2019ve been getting calls.\u201d Gab isn\u2019t the first user to go viral on the platform over a milkshake.
