5 things we now know about Fortnite\u2019s Travis Scott event Epic GamesWhile it took a long time for Epic Games to confirm the Travis Scott event in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, here\u2019s five things we now know about the celebration. As seasoned veterans of the battle royale title will know, in-game events always draw mass attention on the island. Whether it be something live like a monster going toe-to-toe with a huge robot, or something like a themed crossover section of the map, this type of thing always appeals to the mainstream. That\u2019s exactly what Fortnite needs right now, too, as a number of the game\u2019s biggest content creators and pro players have spoken out about the need for change. Not to mention #RipFortnite trending on social media during the month of April. Now we know that American rapper Travis Scott will be the star of the show this time around, fans will be hoping for something as exciting as Marshmello\u2019s event \u2013 hosted back in February 2019, at Pleasant Park. It\u2019s impossible to say whether or not this one will be as big as that, but let\u2019s run through the things we do know. A private island awaits Pleasant Park was a perfect venue for Marshmello\u2019s event. There was a packed crowd standing around in a field almost like a real festival experience. That type of event would be just what many players will be looking for right now, as mass gatherings like that aren\u2019t really possible given the current global situation. However, this time the setting is going to be quite different \u2013 a private island. Based on the outskirts of Sweaty Sands, the Travis Scott stage has been progressively built over a number of days on a small island. Fortnite leakers have also found some of the last pieces of the puzzle, following the rollout of the v12.41 update, as seen above. Clearly, this is going to make for quite the party experience. Hopefully, just as good as last time \u2013 which drew a record amount of concurrent players. Multiple shows & new track We only really have one other event to use as a measuring stick in terms of what to expect from this event, and based on the Marshmello concert you might have thought it would be the same deal this time. Wrong. Epic have confirmed that there will be five shows held during the dates of April 23-25, with Cactus Jack himself performing a brand new track. Here\u2019s the full schedule. As well as that, there will be \u201cother-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack\u2019s creations,\u201d for people to check out on the island. So, make sure you log in during the event to see what that entails. Listening to his music, new and old, isn\u2019t the only thing players have to think about over the two days, either, which brings us onto our next point. Themed skins and cosmetics When you hear about new events in Fortnite, the second thought for most will be the different skins and cosmetics like the gliders and pickaxes that will also be included. If you\u2019re one of those people, you won\u2019t be disappointed this time around \u2013 based on content that\u2019s been discovered by data miners. As seen below, a number of never-before-seen character outfits will be landing in-game real soon, including a shirtless version of Travis himself and his Astro Jack character. Chances are, thousands of players will be dropping into the game on the days the event is being held, and many will be coming fully equipped with these sets. So, will you? Astronomical Fortnite challenges Not only will there be skins, cosmetics, as well as other bits and pieces for players to wear in-game \u2013 but the will also be a set of challenges to complete. Just like the Deadpool event, a set of challenges have been themed around Travis Scott, with a leaked list having been revealed ahead of schedule. These are called the \u201cAstronomical\u201d challenges, and the devil really is in the detail as they give away some of the other features the event will hold. Based on the rewards that will be up for grabs, it looks like this set will be very popular indeed. First-look at Travis Scott\u2019s stage in Fortnite Last, but not least, is what the stage will look like. Data miner FortTory has also revealed a detailed look of what a completed stage is going to look like. Not only is this stage set to appear on the island, but a number of huge golden heads have appeared around the location, too. These will most likely be part of the challenge list. So, there you have it! Those are the five things we now know about the Travis Scott event in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2.
